Mindfulness Skills 4 Busy Mums

To be able to give the best of ourselves to others, we must start by taking care of ourselves.

Being a mum can involve being on duty 24-7. It can involve being a care giver, a house maker, a problem fixer, a negotiator, a nose wiper, a meal maker, a project manager and of course a chauffeur. And somehow, during all of this, we have to manage our little one’s new experiences, transitions and BIG feelings, as well as somehow (??) our own feelings and needs too. How often do we MAKE time for us to rest, reflect, restore for readiness once again?

Relaxing Cuppa

I am one of those busy mums and I use tool and attitudes of being mindful in my own life to help find emotional balance, create time (by reducing distraction) when it feels like there’s none and gather some ‘head space’!

The intention of this series of 7 mindfulness workshop-style sessions is to offer a kind, compassionate, non-judgemental space to learn a few core techniques of mindfulness and to grow a heart full of self-compassion. My dear friend and respected mentor once said “self-compassion is medicine for a mothers soul”, and I know this to be true. This space also offers us mums a guilt-free, restful space to step back from the routine demands of daily life and grow skills to support us because a mum's life is full

Here’s a sneak peek of some of what you can look forward to in your Mindfulness Skills 4 Busy Mums toolkit.
