This comprehensive course will offer a clinically and scientifically-valid approach for understanding how life’s difficulties and stressors impact on mental and emotional well-being, and encompasses practical, common sense solutions for whatever our experiences are. The first half of the course is focussed on developing skills of self-awareness and recognising the typical patterns of operating in daily life: thought processes, emotional responses, what distracts us from being connected with the present moment. The second half of the course focusses on embedding new ways to be less reactive to, and create mental space around, what our experiences are and to make more appropriate and skilful choices. In doing so, we can be more engaged and involved with our lives as they unfold.


This course will enable participants to:

Mindfulness meditation for stress reduction and improved health and well-being

  • Recognise unhelpful, habitual patterns of thinking and reacting;

  • Identify their personal signature of stress (either from work or personal life);

  • Break the cycle of distraction & rumination;

  • Develop higher levels of focus and concentration;

  • Respond more skilfully to challenging feelings & emotions;

  • Develop qualities of acceptance and freedom to make more appropriate choices;

  • Feel more connected to and engaged with life, moment by moment.

What the course includes:

  • 8 x 2 hour teaching and experiential learning mindfulness sessions;

  • Training manuals that accompany each weekly session;

  • Daily home practice schedule;

  • Access to a members-only section of our web site where you can download guided mindfulness practices and supplementary material;

  • Certificate awarded for course completion.

For a supplement (£15), access to one of our mindfulness day retreats – lovely lunch provided.

This course runs for 8 weeks, every Monday evening from the start date, with a 1-week break between sessions 4 & 5. These days are 23rd, 30th Sept; 7th, 14th, 28th Oct; 4th, 11th, 18th Nov.
