Seasonal & Special Events

In our seasonal and special events, we intend to serve our mindfulness practices with a sprinkle of art, music, movement, creative writing, food and being outdoors. 

You needn’t be an expert in any of these elements. These sessions are for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, and those who are up for spending some quality time with themselves and a few others.

In the sessions we will be learning and practising mindfulness, kindfulness (kindness) and heartfulness (compassion). Mindfulness ISN’T just about sitting quietly on a meditation cushion, breathing away! It’s about how we connect and integrate these important and helpful skills into our daily lives too. It’s also about how we can be curious and interested in how creative we can be with our minds and mindfulness practices day by day, week by week, month by month, season by season and year by year.

reCLAYm some calm – jolly fun, creative mindfulness workshops

Hello lovely peeps!

THANK YOU for checking out our fantastic new workshops - the first of our creative mindful sessions called ‘reCLAYm some calm’. You may have put two and two together and figured these sessions will involve clay, some mindfulness and, a generous dose of time for yourself, topped with a confetti-like covering of calm and kindness.

My heart-felt in intention in hosting these gentle and connecting workshops was to help us experience quiet mindful moments while crafting. Mindfully creating helps our busy minds slow down, to release tension and stress AND can help us move towards a more calm, settled and soothing state, as we simply immerse ourselves in our mini mindful makes. Our group will also be built on a foundation of warmth, respect, caring support and encouragement for one and other.

We will be exploring the feel of CLAY, moulding and shaping it, smoothing and decorating– whilst immersing ourselves in playfulness, spaciousness and the freedom to be of being released from extraneous demands on our mind, bodies and time. All you need to bring is you, a little curiosity, playfulness and your own APRON!

These 6-person, adult workshops are:

  • For anyone wishing to try our creative approaches to mindfulness and well-being

  • NO experience is needed

  • Please note, these sessions are NOT intended as art therapy, counselling-or -therapeutic sessions, or are a suitable replacement for any clinical or therapeutic treatments / sessions you are receiving

  • Before booking, please see our T and Cs for things we may need to know about, and we can have a warm chat together as appropriate

What can I expect in a typical session?

  • A delightfully warm welcome and intro to the session

  • A cool or warm drink and a crunchie cookie / fruit

  • All creative materials

  • A ‘make and take’ painted & glazed clay project

  • A guided mindfulness exercise to try in session

  • A recording and guided audio of the same exercise to try at home

  • A little worksheet to mindfully explore your experiences and observations

Sessions are held in The Mind Garden, Monson Park, Skellingthorpe

What is the investment for the course?

  • The 4-week creative course costs:£150

  • Receive the 5th session FREE to glaze and finish your pieces

'reCLAYm some calm' at our NEW mindfulness-based creative workshops. Each week we will be rolling, moulding and shaping clay into our little creatives to paint, glaze and take home, whilst learning a little more about ourselves and mindfulness tips to enhance our wellbeing.

Sessions take place on the following dates: 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st January; 7th February 2022
