Taster sessions are scheduled in advance of each of our 8-week mindfulness courses and are open to anyone interested in learning more about mindfulness and self-compassion. The session are 1.5 – 2 hours long (venue dependent) and friendly, relaxed, informal and refreshments are provided.
The intention of the introductory sessions is to::
introduce and explore what mindfulness and self-compassion is;
share the scientific basis of mindfulness training;
demonstrate some of the techniques and exercises used;
explain how the course is structured and delivered and describe your involvement;
say who the course is suitable for;
exemplify how mindfulness can support health and well-being in daily life;
meet your mindfulness teacher and be able to ask questions.
We offer a variety of dates and venues for our taster sessions to make them as accessible as possible for you, but each taster session covers the same information. So the choice is yours.
